Bradford-based concrete admixtures specialist Oscrete fills two key management roles following major new product launches and a record year in business.
2016 proved a significant year for Oscrete, a division of Christeyns UK, with sales up by a record 22% over the previous year, marking the fifth year in succession in which Oscrete has recorded sales growth of over 20%, year on year.
Midland Lead to announce new 25-year sandcast lead guarantee at Ecobuild

Leading British lead sheet manufacturer Midland Lead is set to announce a newly awarded 25-year guarantee on its sandcast lead from the Lead Contractors Association (LCA), at this year’s Ecobuild.
The company will be on stand C129 to discuss the new guarantee throughout the event, running from 7-9 March at Excel London.
Thanks to the new guarantee, Midland Lead – the UK’s only lead manufacturer to offer a complete range of lead sheet options, including sandcast, machine cast and rolled lead – is now able to offer a guarantee across all three of its lead sheet types.

Aarsleff Ground Engineering secures major sheet piling project at Deptford

Aarsleff Ground Engineering, one of the UK’s leading contractors of driven precast piles and geotechnical solutions, has successfully secured a major sheet piling project – an installation for a self-storage facility, at Blackhorse Road, Deptford.
The project will see Aarsleff install 285 linear metres for a piled basement wall using ArcelorMittal AZ18-800 pile sections, the new type of wider pile section that reduces overall costs, programme times and facilitates an ultra-efficient and quicker installation. In addition, Aarsleff will also install a number of 250-mm square precast driven bearing piles for the main superstructure, with anticipated piles lengths of between 9m and 18m using the Company’s innovative mechanical joint.

The Survey Association (TSA), the UK’s trade body for commercial survey companies, has redeveloped its website, following a year of exceptional growth in visitor numbers and applications for membership.
During 2016, TSA’s website logged more than 142,000 visits from 100 different countries, an increase of 153% on 2014. TSA also received 19 applications for membership, the highest ever in one year.
