ASFP announces Passive Fire Protection Award winners

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 ASFP Passive Fire Protection Industry Awards. The awards, now in their fourth year, aim to highlight achievements within the passive fire industry. 

While the face-to-face awards ceremony was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19, the Association announced the winners at its virtual AGM on 28 April 2021, to ensure that their outstanding performance was recognised. There are five categories of award, each recognising key achievements within the industry, with the high calibre of nominations received demonstrating how ASFP members can succeed even in times of adversity.

CHAS welcomes Ahmed Doghem as Distribution Manager (CX)

CHAS, the supply chain risk management expert, has appointed Ahmed Doghem as Distribution Manager with a focus on Customer Experience (CX). 

Ahmed brings over 20 years’ CX experience to the role, having worked for brands including Kingfisher Insurance, Dixons Carphone (Currys) and Gulliver’s Travel Associates (HotelBeds) with previous responsibilities including running a global multilingual contact centre.

York Handmade plays pivotal role in 'magnificent' new library

The award-winning York Handmade Brick Company has played a pivotal role in the creation of a brand-new library at Magdalene College, Cambridge.

York Handmade, based at Alne, near Easingwold, supplied more than 300,000 bricks for the £17 million building at the historic college.

The contract is worth £300,000 for York Handmade, one of the leading independent brickmakers in the UK.
