After several years of research and development, Imperial Bricks is delighted to announce a genuine replication of the original ‘London Stock’ brick. This traditional handmade yellow brick features a strong colour with characteristic shade variations, and an authentic coal spotted face with distinctive textures.
The bricks are suitable for restoring, renovating and extending of buildings in and around the capital, as well as new-build developments. Weathered Original London Stock is a strong-coloured brick, also available in a standard Original London Stock, and a Dark Weathered version that was created due to popular demand. All are available in imperial and metric sizing.

Domestic GSHP system success rolled out to benefit other flagship customers

A new communal ground source heat pump system in Suffolk is set to cut the heating bills of housing association Flagship’s customers by hundreds of pounds a year. This ground source project follows on from a similar award-winning installation completed at Flagship’s Orchard Close estate of 30 flats in Watton, Norfolk, last year.
The new system being installed at Quayside Court in Lakenheath will improve quality of life and affordability for customers, as well as reduce CO2 emissions.

On the day of the announcement that the vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister has cast further uncertainty on Brexit, FIS has produced for its members a Preparing for Brexit Checklist. The checklist focusses on the questions that members need to start asking across the Product, Process and People elements of their business (the three pillars of the FIS Quality in Construction Strategy). Whilst not exhaustive it aims to help members understand the impact of Brexit and look at potential risk, challenges and opportunities.

Former RECO site set to undergo development

Land between St. Johns Street and George Street, Huntingdon will shortly see enabling works commence for a new mixed-use development comprising flexible-use commercial units, as well as 304 dwellings that includes both houses and apartments.
It was announced back in June 2018 that planning permission had been granted, with local construction business Mick George Ltd contracted to complete Demolition, Remediation and Earthworks for a twelve-week period, on behalf of JCAM Commercial Real Estate.
