Falck Safety Services UK adds construction training to portfolio

A leading safety training firm is building on its portfolio of services on offer at its North-east base with the introduction of new health and safety courses for construction personnel. 

Falck Safety Services UK (Falck), which has 32 training centres across the world including four UK sites in, Peterhead, Aberdeen,Montrose and Teesside, has opened up registration for four CITB approved construction safety courses from its training centre in Aberdeen.

NASC issues updated Technical Guidance and Safety Guidance notes

The NASC has released a raft of seven revised and updated Technical Guidance (TG) and Safety Guidance (SG).

These revisions have come as part of the NASC’s on-going commitment to refresh published technical and safety guidance on a five year cycle.

NASC members have received copies of seven guidance notes in the post during November 2015 (marked for the attention of the Managing Director) and these will also be available to full members via download, free of charge, from the members area of the NASC website.

Merseyside construction industry firm Innov8 makes triple appointment

Merseyside construction industry health and safety firm Innov8 has made a triple appointment to boost resource following a surge in demand.

Experienced health and safety consultant Peter McConville, construction design management (CDM) safety advisor Max Meadows and office manager Emma Greaves have all joined the firm in quick succession.

New entrance matting's a hit with Harlequins

Visitors to the DHL Stand Reception of the Twickenham Stoop, the home of the Harlequins has been given an exciting new entrance area makeover thanks to Diamond fibre-bonded carpet manufacturer Heckmondwike FB.

The club, which plays in the Aviva Premiership, was recommended Heckmondwike FB’s entrance matting in order to reinforce its unique branding as soon as supporters and visitors enter the reception area.
