New City College pioneers green skills agenda with Low Carbon Technology Lab

Dan White speaks at Low Carbon Technology Lab launch New City College is proud to announce the launch of FE’s first low carbon technology lab which will provide green skills training for London’s workforce.

The lab, equipped with cutting-edge technology, was launched at a special breakfast presentation on Thursday 4 May, attended by industry experts and business leaders who had the chance to tour the new facilities and hear about the benefits they will provide in the challenge for a new way of working to meet cleaner energy and net zero targets.

PR 284 Firex 2023 The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP), the UK’s leading trade association for passive fire protection will be showcasing its range of training courses, guidance documents and membership services in the ASFP Passive Fire Protection Pavilion on stand FI1224 at Firex 2023 in London Excel from 16-18 May.

The ASFP Passive Fire Protection Pavilion brings together in one location a number of ASFP member companies, representing a cross section of the passive fire protection (PFP) sector. This year, for the first time, the Pavilion will also feature ASFP Pods, which allow some of our smaller member companies to have a presence at the event.

Verdantix EHS EMEA Awards Badge Finalist CHAS, the risk management expert, has been recognised in the prestigious Verdantix EHS Innovation Excellence Awards EMEA, which acknowledges organisations instrumental in implementing innovative technologies and projects that improve environment, health and safety processes and outcomes.

CHAS, a Veriforce company, is the supporting technology provider to housebuilder Story Homes who has been short-listed in the Operational Risk Management category. CHAS completed a six-month project with Story Homes in 2022 to create a new, integrated supply chain management system which transformed how the housebuilder manages health and safety risk within the business; at the end of the campaign, over 97% of Story Homes’ supply chain had achieved the targeted compliance levels.
