Mirfield Health Centre, West Yorkshire is a vision in blue

Patients at Mirfield Health Centre in West Yorkshire will reap the benefit of new carpet tiles in stunning Array from Heckmondwike FB’s Creative Range in their waiting and communal areas.

180m2 of Array carpet tiles  in blue were chosen for the busy GP practice with 36m2 of Dreadnought tiles selected in Anthracite for the entrance area.

Big news for the future of Scottish solar investment

The Scottish Government have taken positive steps towards developing the future of Scottish solar investment under the Renewables Obligation (the main support mechanism for renewable electricity projects in the UK). Unlike England and Wales, the Scottish Government will retain the “Grandfathering” guarantee.

In its most recent project, the Acermetric building system has just slashed costs and build-time at a London primary school where a two-storey multi-purpose 466m2 “Centre of Excellence” was assembled in around 13 weeks on site by just four builders lifting panels by hand and installing the elements with a single tool!

AcoustiPanel™14; Combined Knauf acoustic floor deck solution

This new acoustic solution from Nu-Heat, produced in partnership with Knauf, comprises a pre-routed Knauf gypsum board bonded to acoustic fibreboard, into which Nu-Heat’s 14mm tube system is neatly installed. 

The tongue and groove panels offer high thermal conductivity allowing a quick transfer of heat into the room and create a stable, monolithic floor finish with minimal movement.

Carbon Zero Consulting wins prestigious Chelsea Barracks contract

Newcomer Redsky Solar nominated for first award

Redsky Solar has been nominated for a Solar Power Portal Award, recognising ‘best of British Solar expertise’ for the company’s first large-scale solar rooftop project.

Redsky was launched last year by leading building envelope contractor Longworth to capitalise on the group’s roofing expertise and offer solar installation by roofing experts.

BIM Strategy ‘model’ yet another international award

BIM Strategy Ltd, based in Darlington, has won yet another award at the prestigious Build Earth Live International BIM Competition held last week. This is the 3rd award in this competition for BIM Strategy and its associate company, Niven Architects.
