QISC has begun to offer vocational qualifications locally across the construction industry in Qatar, delivered by qualified instructors based at QISC facilities, the firm said.
Structuring a range of courses that can be tailored to the needs of each employer, the vocational courses form part of the company’s mission to ensure higher levels of safety in the workplace countrywide.
Andy Reid, QISC’s business development manager, said: “QISC is now delivering to all industries in Qatar the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) Foundation; Advanced and Supervisor courses.
"These courses provide a route map through health and safety training from “beginner” to supervisor, they are highly interactive courses written with the international construction market in mind. The courses can be delivered in alternate languages subject to trainer availability.
He said that the firm is offering Construction Skills (formally CITB) Site Managers and Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS & SSSTS) for existing supervisors, and managers. These courses add to the skills gained on ECITB courses and act as a refresher course for seasoned managers and supervisors alike. The courses are interactive courses designed to promote discussion and team work among the delegates.
