Construction students put their skills to the test for local school

Construction students at Huntingdonshire Regional College have been helping out the local community by providing outdoor seating for the pupils of Bury CE Primary School.

Designed and built by the students, it provides Bury CE’s pupils with additional outside seating and picnic benches to use during their break times.

Peter Allen, headteacher at Bury CE Primary School, said: “We have enjoyed working with the students and staff from Huntingdonshire Regional College who have planned and built a fantastic seating area for the school grounds.”

Susanne Stent, principal at Huntingdonshire Regional College, said: “These types of projects are a fantastic way to give our students “real-life” work experience whilst giving something back to our local community.”
