Electrical course information from existing OLCI learners

altAre you planning to enrol on an electrical course in the future?  If so, we recommend reading the feedback from some of our existing learners.  They have already started their training with OLCI, so their experiences may be able to give you a useful insight into the training available.

Jon Meecham decided to take the ‘Become a Fully Qualified Electrician’ training.  Previously, Jon was a CCTV Engineer.  He decided that he wanted to get qualified in the trades so he can ‘further my current career, with a certificate that shows I am technically able to carry out the task’.

Jon chose to train with OLCI because ‘the set up seemed to be excellent and the practical sessions are held in a local area from where I live’.  Commenting on what he has received so far, Jon said that the best parts are the ‘concise and understandable training.

Any questions asked to the trainer are answered so all understand’.  This is because ‘John Taylor involves everyone on the course to make sure we all know the answers to any queries’.  When asked about the tutors, Jon explained that ‘I have only had the pleasure of being tutored by John Taylor, and I do mean it is a pleasure’.  Jon said that his practical training is ‘excellent.

Any uncertainties are covered so that we all have a good understanding of what we are going and, more importantly, why.’  This is because ‘John Taylor ensures we have understood the work that we have carried out’.  Jon agrees that he ‘would recommend OLCI to a friend’ and that ‘I have gained valuable skills during my OLCI training’.  Upon successful completion of his course, Jon would like to ‘take advantage of the OLCI career support to secure a job’.

The OLCI career support is available on selected courses, including the ‘Become a Fully Qualified Electrician’ and ‘Become a Domestic Electrical Installer’ training.  As a reputable provider, OLCI do not guarantee a job although will do all we reasonably can to help you.

Peter Short enrolled on the ‘Become a Fully Qualified Electrician’ course.  Before enrolling, Peter was a Plant Services Manager.  He wants to get qualified in the trades so that he can ‘have better job prospects and more flexibility’.  He chose OLCI as the ‘information from first contact was excellent’.  Peter explains that he thinks the OLCI tutors are ‘excellent, good teachers with helpful attitude’.

He says that the practical training is ‘good’ as ‘you have plenty of time to work things out’.  Talking about his training, Peter says that it is ‘overall an enjoyable experience’.  Peter agrees that ‘training for industry recognised qualifications has been helpful’ and that ‘the support I receive from OLCI is helpful’.
