New contracts manager for sealant specialist

Nationwide sealant fit and supply specialist S&D Sealants is delighted to welcome a new member to its Yorkshire and Lancashire team.
Leeds-born Jamie Madden is taking on the role of Contracts Manager, joining a workforce of 75 industry experts at the family-run company.
29-year-old Jamie has twelve years’ experience in the mastics industry and is particularly strong in establishing excellent working relationships.
Mr Madden will also bring a wealth of local knowledge as well as his sealants expertise, having grown up in Leeds and amassed valuable industry contacts.
Mr Madden said: “I’ve worked my way up over many years in the sealants industry and am excited to have another ladder to climb.
“I’m looking forward to this new challenge and trying to expand S&D’s business in local areas. Eventually, I would like to become the S&D Production Director for the North.”
2013 is proving to be a strong year for S&D across the United Kingdom, with the company working on around 400 sites every week in projects ranging from hospitals and care homes to community swimming pools.
Nick Jones, Managing Director of S&D Sealants, said: “It is important to us to form a local relationship with our customers so Jamie’s extensive knowledge of the industry and the area make him perfect for this role.
“Although the construction industry hasn’t fared well in recent years, our continued success has shown that there is certainly work out there and I’m sure Jamie has a great future as part of the S&D team.”
S&D Sealants has doubled its turnover in the past three years, despite being part of one of the worst hit sectors of the recession.
With a network of offices across the UK, S&D offers true national coverage by using a group of local sealant operatives to carry out specific projects. Their UK office expansion includes bases in Exeter, Wakefield, Fareham, Warrington, Bristol and Romford.
S&D regularly works with a wide variety of well-known construction companies including BAM, Balfour Beatty, Wilmott Dixon, Laing O’Rourke, Sir Robert McAlpine and MorganSindall.
