NASC present at London Work at Height Seminar 2017

The NASC took part in the London Work At Height Seminar 2017 at the City of London’s prestigious Guildhall on Monday July 10th – presenting on developments within the scaffolding and access sector, and recently published guidance, to a substantial gathering of industry professionals.

The second London Work at Height Seminar built on the success of the highly regarded 2016 event, “providing opportunity for our industry to collaborate in the interests of safety awareness, best practice and knowledge sharing; and to demonstrate a variety of work at height methodologies and industry innovations.”

NASC introduces online membership application and audit process

The NASC has introduced a state-of-the-art online membership application system – streamlining the process for membership applications for potential new members.

This online process has been developed by London-based website technicians, Deep (responsible for creating the new-look NASC website) and makes it simpler for scaffolding firms to apply for full membership of the 240+ strong confederation – bringing the organisation into line with other similar pre-qualification membership audit systems.

NASC President, Alan Lilley of Commercial Scaffolding Ltd said: “NASC have pursued the online application/membership process to simplify the desktop application and annual audit procedure along with the site audit (which is undertaken every two years).

£900k investment sees relocation of Mobile Mini Bridgend branch

Mobile Mini, a leading hirer of portable site accommodation and secure storage containers, with its global operations based in Arizona, USA and UK headquarters at Stockton-on-Tees, has relocated its Bridgend branch.

The move comes following close to a £900,000 investment, after a period of significant growth within the South Wales area for the Company, which has 16 branches nationwide, from Glasgow to Southampton.

Midlands Asset Finance appoint new relationship manager

Independent financial services broker Midlands Asset Finance (MAF) has underlined its commitment to providing a personal service to its customers by appointing a new Business Relationship Manager, increasing the team to 21. 

Stuart Buchan has joined the firm on the back of a long career in asset finance with Lombard Business Finance where he worked as a relationship manager with responsibility for business customers in the East Midlands.
