New Year, new home for the ASFP

PR304 ASFP new home 002The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is pleased to announce it has moved to its new head office in Coventry. The new building provides the ASFP with greater capacity, enabling it to offer even more support and services to its members.

The new premises, which will be opened in two phases, provide office space, as well as housing the new ASFP training academy. It offers a practical training facility, catering facilities, meeting and break-out/rest areas, and provides a permanent home for the famous ASFPTV.

Forterra employees awarded for outstanding achievements

Forterra Ed Storer receiving the Keith FR Morton award 002On 19th December leading building products manufacturer Forterra saw two of its employees receive prestigious awards during an event hosted by the International Clay Technology Association (ICT/ICTa) Education and Training Trust which provides training for the clayware sector.

The event, which was held at Forterra’s new Desford factory, saw Production Manager Ed Storer receive the Keith FR Morton Award, and University Student and Process and Reliability Engineer Nia Lewis receive the Clay Drying and Firing Student Award.

ASFP shortlisted for three Association awards

PR302 TAF awards 002The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is delighted to have been shortlisted for three awards in the Trade Association Forum’s (TAF’s) Awards. The Awards recognise, reward and promote best practice among trade associations in the UK.

The Association’s magazine, Ignite, has been shortlisted for Magazine of the Year. Ignite caters to the needs and interests of professionals within the passive fire protection (PFP) industry. It offers a valuable resource that enhances the knowledge and expertise of its audience. The magazine also promotes best practice and addresses challenges in the sector, facilitating the growth and development of the industry.
