ASFP makes two further significant appointments

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) has made two new appointments to support the continued development of its member, training and technical services. Rich Green was appointed as Commercial Projects Manager in July and Chris Sharman joined as Training Manager in September.
Rich brings a wealth of experience working in leadership and commercial roles in a variety of industries, including ten years in the lighting industry. As Commercial Manager of the Lighting Industry Association (LIA) he achieved revenue growth of over 40% and was a key part of the team that established a brand new UKAS-accredited testing laboratory. Previous roles included Business Manager for lighting company, Kosnic and National Accounts Manager for pest control company, Pelsis.

During August, shortlists for the highly commended and prestigious Brick Development Association’s (BDA) Brick Awards 2021 were announced. Michelmersh is thrilled to have featured 19 superlative shortlisted projects be announced in November. The Awards recognise excellence within design and construction.
Each year hundreds of entries are submitted, and 18 prestigious trophies awarded. With an exceptional number of shortlisted projects in over 12 categories, Michelmersh is hopeful for another year of success. SO Modular expands team with four new hires

SO Modular, the timber frame construction specialist, has brought in four new members of staff, and promoted two, as it continues to expand its fast-growing, multi-faceted, innovative and sustainable business.
The company’s most recent appointments are Dennis Nelder, Kayleigh Westwood, Mark Hughes, and Nicholas Morris.
Nelder has taken on the role of Transport Manager, following 15 years’ experience working within the supply chain and manufacturing industry for companies, including Celsa.

London’s construction supplier returns to the capital

Stand G72 at London Build Expo 2021 in November will see Fosroc International on hand to provide expert advice and an integrated approach on everything from product specification to installation.
It will be the fourth time Fosroc has exhibited at the show, which attracts many of the UK’s leading contractors, structural engineers, developers, architects and councils.
As one of the most well regarded and established British manufacturing brands for construction, Fosroc products have been used since the 1940s in the building and repair of landmark London structures. Fosroc’s Conbextra HF grout was used for the Palace of Westminster in 1980, and more recently in the 2000s Fosroc joint sealant was used for Wembley stadium, while Conbextra UW grout was used for the supporting columns of the Emirates Air Line cable car.
