CHAS and Story Homes recognised in 2023 Excellence Awards

Verdantix EHS EMEA Awards Badge FinalistCHAS, the risk management expert, has been recognised in the prestigious Verdantix EHS Innovation Excellence Awards EMEA, which acknowledges organisations instrumental in implementing innovative technologies and projects that improve environment, health and safety processes and outcomes.

CHAS, a Veriforce company, is the supporting technology provider to housebuilder Story Homes who has been short-listed in the Operational Risk Management category. CHAS completed a six-month project with Story Homes in 2022 to create a new, integrated supply chain management system which transformed how the housebuilder manages health and safety risk within the business; at the end of the campaign, over 97% of Story Homes’ supply chain had achieved the targeted compliance levels.

Paramount Platforms places biggest ever Hinowa order

0n5997Paramount Platforms Ltd, one of the UK’s leading spider rental specialists, has placed its biggest ever order for Hinowa spider lifts supplied by Access Platform Sales (APS).

Paramount Platforms is taking nine tracked spider booms in a deal worth over £1m.

They include bi-energy, lithium battery and diesel versions of the new Hinowa Lightlift 40.18 Performance IIIS.

Leeds College of Building celebrates electrician training milestone

1. 18th Edition Electrical class Leeds College of Building 1One hundred electricans have benefitted from free Level 3 ‘18th Edition Wiring Regulations’ training at Leeds College of Building thanks to funding from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA).

Delivered through the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges, re[boot] and subsequent Skills Connect training is designed for adult learners looking to upskill, re-skill, and gain sector-specific qualifications within regional skill shortage areas.

New employer partnership to boost regional welding skills

1. Bradford College Energas partnershipBradford College has become the first education partner in the UK to launch the Energas Fabrication Excellence Student Support Scheme. 

The programme is part of a wider initiative by Energas, a Air Liquide Group company specialising in cylinder gases and equipment, to address the global shortage of welders that governments and industry bodies are urgently trying to reverse.
