Brett advises on UK's largest SuDS scheme

Omega Flow Charcoal Installation Sandy Lane Mansfield 9Brett Landscaping and Severn Trent Water have been working on the UK's largest sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) scheme.

The £76m project, to reduce flood risk in Mansfield, will create a surface water drainage system that can hold 58 million litres of water – roughly the equivalent of 23 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

York Handmade plays pivotal role in prestigious Liverpool development

YHB Renshaw hall 1 002The award-winning York Handmade Brick Company has played a significant role in a new and prestigious Liverpool student housing development.

The Easingwold-based firm, one of the leading independent brick-makers in the country, has supplied specially manufactured bricks for the stunning Renshaw Hall development.

Altogether York Handmade provided bricks 200,000 bricks, worth £160,000, for the site, which is located on the edge of the Rodney Street Conservation Area in Liverpool city centre, close to two universities.

RHS show garden dedicated to mental health seeks construction sponsors

Garden designer Carolyn Hardern and landscaper Jon Jarvis are working with Leeds College of Building to raise awareness of mental health within the construction industry through a unique show garden. The design has been accepted for the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park from 19-23 July 2023 but requires additional sponsors to finalise the project.
