British Sugar TOPSOIL is ‘tops’ with customers

British Sugar TOPSOIL, the UK’s largest supplier of topsoil to the construction, landscaping and amenity sectors, has been rated ‘Excellent’ or ‘Very Good’ for customer service by 98 per cent of respondents to a recent customer survey. The same percentage was also ‘Very Satisfied’ or ‘Satisfied’ with the company’s general purpose topsoil product, ‘Landscape20’.

CISRS Simian Skill Middle East Overseas Training Scheme centre re-accredited

Simian Skill’s FZ-LLC CISRS approved Overseas Training Scheme (OSTS) centre in Al Qorz, near Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has gained CISRS accreditation – for the third year running.

Seeking the best young roofers

From 7th May to 29th July, young trainee roofers will be putting their skills to the test to secure a place at the final of the UK’s largest, multi-trade competition this coming November.

SkillBuild is a national competition which takes place annually to promote excellence amongst the UK’s young crafts persons across ten craft occupations of which roofing is one of them. For a number of years roofing has been proudly supported and run by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC).

Hope launch search for 30 HGV drivers

Thirty HGV drivers are sought by Britain’s leading independent concrete and aggregates producer, Hope Construction Materials, to operate the company’s new fleet of Renault trucks.

Hope, who celebrated their second anniversary in January 2015, are expanding their fleet of ready-mixed concrete mixer trucks and aggregate tipper wagons, to meet the growing demand in the construction sector.

One month left to enter the Structural Timber Awards

The countdown is on and with just one month to go, organisers have reported that they have been impressed with quality of the entries to the inaugural Structural Timber Awards.

Andrew Carpenter, Chair of the judging panel commented: "There is still time to enter but already the quality of the submissions demonstrates that these awards are what the industry has been waiting for. The timing could not be better - taking place during the first UK National Construction Week, when our industry pioneers will be congregating at the NEC."
