A Secured by Design addition to the Salford Skyline

Local residents in Salford will have noticed the appearance of a new twenty-three storey residential tower block in the New Bailey region known as ‘C1’.
Built by Morgan Sindall PLC for Muse Developments Limited, C1 includes all those security features recommended by Secured by Design, the national police crime prevention initiative which has been working to increase the security standards in new homes built across the UK since 1989.

‘Electrician Plus’ concept launched by TESP

The new brand concept ‘Electrician Plus’ has been launched by The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP) this week to highlight how the role of a qualified electrician is central to the installation of low carbon and renewable technologies.
Adequate understanding of electrical scientific theory and principles and demonstrable occupational competence are critical for the safe installation of technologies such as solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, battery storage systems and electric vehicle charging points (EVCP). The core competence of a qualified electrician is the foundation from which to upskill and train in these areas.
Leeds College of Building celebrates first University Centre graduates

The first students to complete a degree-level apprenticeship at Leeds College of Building University Centre (UC) have graduated.
The class of seven BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering Site Management degree apprentices employed by BAM attended the graduation ceremony at validating institution, Leeds Beckett University.
