Calling all scaffolding supervisors!

CISRS are working directly with their cardholders and approved training providers to match up the demand for supervisor refresher training. Following the introduction of Supervisory CPD/refresher training on 1st March 2016, anyone wishing to renew their CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor/Manager card is required to complete the newly developed 2- day course.

Delegates on the two-day course will need to successfully complete a written test, several case study projects, and deliver a toolbox talk – all of which will contribute to their overall pass/fail assessment criteria.

Local experts put in the groundwork at shopping centre development

The cathedral city of Peterborough is a hive of activity at present, with construction works taking place everywhere you look, and similar could be said for its ‘noisy neighbours’ down the road in Cambridge.

Most recently, the semi-rural location of Hampton has been a focal point for development with extensive housing and community expansion ongoing. Located within close proximity is ‘The Serpentine’ Shopping Centre which has recently begun a £5 million pound venture to transform the 319,000 sq. ft. retail space.

Nationwide Platforms opens new flagship depot in Scotland

UK’s largest access rental company, Nationwide Platforms, invited more than 100 local customers to celebrate the official opening of its new flagship depot Bellshill, Scotland, today. Approximately three times the size of its previous depot, the new facility sets the benchmark for future depots and will provide enhanced customer service and support to a number of high-profile projects throughout Scotland.

Located on the Righead Industrial Estate just outside of Glasgow, the 29,000 square foot depot houses more than 450 access platforms including a range of operated and self-drive truck and van mounted platforms from its Specialist Vehicles division. Four dedicated delivery vehicles and mobile service engineer vehicles also operate from the depot to further support the area.

Early bird booking opens for Trees, People and the Built Environment 3

Early bird booking has opened for an acclaimed urban trees research conference. Trees, People and the Built Environment 3 (TPBE3) will return to Birmingham University, 5-6 April 2017.
