Professional builders in the North West can take advantage of three special offers from the Federation of Master Builders in October. They will receive, free, a top-quality 22” Draper Supercut handsaw just for meeting an FMB advisor, and can save 50% on inspection costs if they apply for FMB membership by the end of the month. If their application is successful, they will also receive a year’s free registration with the Government-backed TrustMark scheme for professional trades.
The FMB, promoting quality standards in building since 1941, insists all prospective members undergo independent inspection of their work. Chris Maffei, of local FMB member MAF Design and Build, said: “Only the FMB insists builders pass a thorough inspection in order to join. Then we must abide by the FMB Code of Practice during every job. It means that customers can choose FMB members with confidence and full protection is available through a comprehensive Build Assure warranty on the work. Any builder in the North West who cares about the quality of their work really ought to apply for FMB membership.”
Phil Parkinson, FMB Services Director in the North West, said: “My team is always ready to meet a good builder and answer their questions about the FMB. As an incentive, they can have a free 22” Draper Supercut handsaw just for meeting us to find out why the FMB is good for builders and their customers. If they apply, we’ll halve the cost of the compulsory inspection visit and, once accepted, we will even give them a year’s free TrustMark registration. All they have to do is call us on 0113 393 4040 or visit www.fmb.org.uk/apply.”
