NASC launches TG20:13 eGuide - Version 1.2

The NASC is pleased to announce the availability of version 1.2 of the TG20:13 eGuide, released in July 2017.
This update incorporates a number of enhancements and is supplied as a free upgrade to registered users of the TG20:13 eGuide on Windows, Mac and Android computers and devices.
The upgrade is available as a download from the NASC website or, for the Windows and Mac versions, as a CD available on request from the NASC.

Up, up and away! New ride expands families’ experience of thrill rides

This summer Woodlands Family Theme Park in Devon has issued a challenge to its visitors – if they choose to accept! The challenge is a brand new ride unlike any other the park has offered to its many visitors: Vertigo.
Imported from Italy, the ride involves riders blasting into the sky while spinning out of control with their hands in the air. It is a variation of the Spring Ride 12 Rotation ride from Moser Rides of Mantua. The ride has a circular gondola with 12 seats and a rotating tower.

The National Access and Scaffolding Confederation publishes a comprehensive and expanding range of industry guidance titles, all of which are regularly reviewed and updated by its Health & Safety and Technical committees.
Copies of these titles have always been available to purchase in hard copy format from the NASC website www.nasc.org.uk.

Using shipping containers for a series of pop-up charity shops provided the perfect solution for a major construction company with a commitment to helping its local hospice.
RG Carter, which operates across the UK, wanted to support the Priscilla Bacon Hospice with its first pop-up shop.
Martyn Gibson, Director says: “I first got the idea for using shipping containers from a shopping centre in London where they have created small shops in one area. We also needed to find a location where there were already welfare facilities close by. The site in Drayton was ideal as there were already passing visitors and significant footfall.
