Lightness rising - new skyscraper changes the skyline at The Hague

The Hague's skyline has a new silhouette. An extraordinary skyscraper has risen in the middle of the city: De Kroon – a building with a wonderful view of sea and The Hague at its feet. The apartments, shops and offices are gracefully connected over 40 stories ‐ thanks to light multifunctional flax dividing wall elements.

Three part harmony at dizzying heights

The De Kroon skyscraper was built in the middle of The Hague. In three part harmony with the adjacent new buildings for the Ministries of the Interior and Justice, the new skyscraper leaves its mark on the skyline. De Kroon replaced an old tower block. On lower floors, the new building maintains the scale of the historic city centre. The building has an overall height of approximately 131 meters and is divided into three distinct sections. The ground floor has 2,500 square meters of retail space, with 8,500 square meters of office space located above and then a final section with over 250 residential apartments.

Cobblers laying the foundations for success - just like their new sponsors

Having achieved Champions status last season, Northampton Town Football Club are certainly ‘laying the foundations’ for another successful campaign, having taken to competition at the higher tier like the proverbial ‘duck to water’, currently occupying a play-off position.

Similar could be said for new club sponsors, Mick George Ltd, who are continuing to gain momentum since moving in to the Northamptonshire region, with its growing number of service offerings, to both domestic and commercial customers.

Housebuilder Tesni scoop award for "thoughtful and considered" design

New homes by environmentally-friendly house builder Tesni, have been recognised for their "thoughtful and considered design" in the annual Oswestry and District Civic Society Awards.

Tesnihas transformed land formerly occupied by the Oswestry ambulance station on Morda Road, on the outskirts of the town, into six luxury houses – each designed to help power, light and even "breathe" for themselves.

The Civic Society has given a commendation to Tesni’s Glentworth Place development in recognition of the transformation of the former brownfield site into a housing cluster described as contributing to the "smart growth" of the area.
