Midlands Asset Finance scoops prestigious industry award

Independent financial services broker Midlands Asset Finance (MAF) is celebrating after scooping a top Metro Bank Amaze Award.

The firm, based off Junction 28 of the M1, was named Mid-Corporate Asset Finance Broker of the Year at the awards, which recognises and rewards excellence in the asset finance sector. 

Yvonne Wiseman, Metro Bank Sales Director, said: “MAF has been instrumental in the development of our mid-corporate asset finance proposition.

Mick George Ltd ‘Reach for the Stars’ at former RAF Brampton site

It was all smiles at the former RAF Brampton site this week, thanks to a special arrival, as Mick George Ltd became part of a very exclusive club.

Only last month, the very first Volvo EC480E High Reach was commissioned in Great Britain, and Mick George Ltd has been quick to add the impressive demolition machine to its ever-expanding portfolio of equipment.

NASC members St Helens Plant win 2016 Build Award

NASC full non contracting (hire/sales) members St Helens Plant have won the construction and engineering category plus an ‘Excellence Award for Scaffolding Fabrication, Repair and Reconditioning’ in the recent Build Awards 2016.

This is the second accolade that St Helens Plant (known in the scaffolding sector for their fabrication, repair and reconditioning services) have won in 2016 – also netting a finalists placement in the Access and Scaffolding Specialist of the Year category in the Construction News 2016 Specialists Awards in February.

New green roof study shows plugs are best for healthy ecosystems

The NASC’s widely respected NASC 2017 Yearbook has launched – including confirmation of the highest level of NASC membership, since formation in 1945.

The Yearbook is packed with almost 100 pages of the latest UK scaffolding news, updates on new and revised NASC guidance, CISRS training and Britain’s premier access and scaffolding projects, as well as details of the activities of the confederation in 2016.
