NFRC celebrates impressive membership milestone

In September, the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) reached 1000 trade members for the first time. The roofing contractor company who helped us to reach this milestone, DPM Industrial Roofing (UK) Limited based in Stoke-on-Trent, has followed in the footsteps of other like-minded companies who sought to join a reputable and established trade association.

ICE helps industry enter the next phase of CDM 2015 effectively

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is calling on industry to ensure that it is equipped to implement the updated Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) regulations, as they move into a new phase, with full implementation required on all construction projects from 6 October.

Survey shows new and emerging risks for workplaces

In late 2014, the EU-Occupational Safety and Health Agency bought out some statistics based on a survey they conducted using data collected from workplaces in 36 European countries. The survey focuses on health and safety in establishments when it comes to new and emerging risks, including physical and psychosocial risks – an area that is often omitted from surveys.
