Mick George appointed for demolition works at Acton Gardens

Progress on the award-winning Acton Gardens development in West London is steaming ahead, with Mick George Demolition Ltd appointed on behalf of Countryside Properties and L&Q to complete the forthcoming demolition works of Charles Hocking House as part of Phase 6.2. 

This sequence of work will focus on community facilities designed to support a reinvigorated neighbourhood. A new nursery, doctor’s surgery, retail space and incubator office locations are all set to be created, anticipated for completion by Summer 2020.

Safety & Access announce successful transition to latest BS EN standard

Safety & Access are delighted to announce their successful transition from ISO9001:2008 to the latest standard BS EN ISO9001:2015. A thorough audit on all systems and procedure has taken place this week and our independent auditors NQA have given the business a clean bill of health with a few valuable suggestions to take the process forward.

Firemac receives Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2018

North Berwick-based Firemac Limited has received a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category, for its Firemac FM Fabric PSA, a high performance self-adhesive glass woven fire resistant fabric that is applied to galvanised steel ductwork to create a fire-resistant ductwork system.

Firemac FM Fabric PSA is the latest innovation from the company which revolutionised the fire-resistant ductwork sector when it first introduced its third-party certificated fabric-based Firemac FM Fabric system to the UK some 15 years ago.

COSAC becomes first to offer online CSCS training

For the first time, UK construction workers seeking to obtain the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Labourer card will now be able to complete a course online.

Operated by COSAC, the work-focussed training academy based in Runcorn, Safe2Site is the first online course approved by CSCS as a route to the Labourer Card.

Healthy and Safety Event a huge success for MSA
