University accommodation protected with Bull Products

Bull Products, a manufacturer of life-saving fire protection equipment, has supplied its prestigious Cygnus wireless alarm systems to St Stephens Towers – a £45m revamp which will provide multi-storey accommodation for more than 700 students.   

Bull has been contracted to supply its Cygnus alarm devices during work on the site, which when complete, will provide purpose-built apartments with social spaces featuring a cinema, gymnasium, study rooms, and a series of lounge spaces for the students at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and the Norwich University of Arts.

Mick George to conduct earthworks for Birmingham student accommodation

A prime site in Birmingham’s Southside district has been secured for a major new student development, which will see a 399 room, purpose-built accommodation complex erected at approximately £38m GDV.

The location on the corner of Upper Dean Street and Pershore Street, located close to the popular Bullring Shopping Centre and Wholesale Markets has been granted full planning consent for a mixed-use student bedroom and communal facilities, as well as ground floor retail units.

First CISRS CPD scaffolding courses delivered internationally

Safety & Access in conjunction with their partners Special Technical Services (STS) in Oman have successfully delivered the first ever overseas scaffolding CPD courses.

The CISRS Overseas Scheme (OSTS) has developed the two day course to mirror the UK requirements and the first courses were delivered this week by Safety & Access Senior Instructor Rob Nicholls at the accredited scaffolding training centre in Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman.
