Groundhog day set to stay at Mobile Mini following further investment

Mobile Mini, a leading hirer of portable site accommodation and secure storage containers, with its global operations based in Arizona, USA and UK headquarters at Stockton-on-Tees, has made a further £1m investment into its range of industry-leading, energy-efficient, mobile welfare units. 

The company, which has 16 branches nationwide, from Glasgow to Southampton, has continued to strengthen its partnership with South Wales-based Genquip Groundhog, and will see the size of its fleet of Groundhog GP360 Fusion units increase by 50% in the first half of 2017.

Student builders breeze through skills contest

Two Sunderland College students have been crowned the best brickies in a regional skills challenge.

Construction students Jordan King and Stephen Urwin won first and second place in the North East Inter-Colleges Bricklaying Competition, held at New College Durham.

The contest involved students from four colleges who were tasked with a complex bricklaying challenge which had to be completed in five hours.

Construction super campus phoenix rises from the ashes in The Smoke

The University of Wolverhampton celebrated its investment of £100 million in a construction super campus at a prestigious event at the House of Lords in London.

The investment is part of the University’s ‘Our Vision – Your Opportunity’ £250 million ambitious project to invest in world class education and training in support of economic growth in the region. The regeneration of the former Springfield Brewery in Wolverhampton has brought together businesses and the education sector with the aim of creating jobs and providing technical and professional experts required by the industry.

Bull Products to exhibit at FIREX International 2017

Bull Products, a manufacturer of fire protection equipment, is preparing to showcase a range of innovative products at FIREX International – an annual event that connects the global fire and security markets.

Taking place from 20-22 June at Excel London, Bull will be exhibiting at stand F80, and will be showcasing its Cygnus Wireless Alarm System – a major innovation in wireless emergency fire alarms for construction sites.
