No one could deny the outstanding achievement of the BMD Seymour Whyte Joint Venture at this year's Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Excellence Awards. The team earned numerous awards including the prestigious Employer Commitment to Training Excellence Award (over $20 million turnover).
Judging panels were impressed by the joint venture's commitment to development of individual workers in all areas of the project, and the creation of networks of highly functioning teams.
The CSQ awards aims to showcase individuals and organisations within the construction industry that promote quality training and demonstrate a commitment to training excellence.
The CSQ awards builds on the recognition the joint venture received earlier in the year at the Civil Train Industry Leaders and Training Awards, and is testament to ongoing commitment in creating and achieving development opportunities for the joint venture team and to the benefit of the industry.
A special mention to Seymour Whyte's Jayson McLennan, who was a finalist in the Indigenous Construction Person of the Year award.
Congratulations to all the project team and finalists.
