Construction workers have been demonstrating over changes they say could have an impact on health and safety.
Members of the Unite Union gathered for a demonstration at the building site of the new emergency care centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Friday morning.
They are balloting for strike action over a new national agreement which they say could mean a 35% drop in wages.
The new scheme, which would bring mechanical, electrical and plumbing workers under one agreement, could also have serious implications for site safety, the union claims.
David Brockett, of Unite, said: "First of all there would be a major impact on the guys' wages.
"More importantly it could have major impacts on training and health and safety on various construction sites throughout the UK.
"We believe it's going to be deskilling the industry and having semi-skilled people taking responsibility for major construction works."
