Fusion21 announces suppliers appointed to £750m Decarbonisation Framework

Procurement organisation and social enterprise Fusion21 has announced the suppliers successfully appointed to its national Decarbonisation Framework worth up to £750 million over a four-year period.
A total of 50 specialist firms – both SMEs and multinational organisations, have secured a place on the framework, designed to meet the needs of public sector organisations - including housing associations, local authorities, NHS trusts, blue light organisations and education providers.

GB MET wins funding bid for Electric Vehicle Project

In response to the climate and biodiversity emergencies, a consortium of Sussex colleges, through FE Sussex, won a successful bid to secure a £6 million Government Skills Accelerator Development Grant to fund five different schemes for a greener future.
Greater Brighton Metropolitan College is leading the Electric Vehicle Project to establish five electric and hybrid vehicle training centres at Shoreham, Chichester, Crawley, Eastbourne and Hastings, with partner colleges Chichester College Group and East Sussex College Group. In addition, a Land Based Electric Vehicle Centre will be established at Plumpton College.

Esholt Hall redevelopment provides ‘real world experience’ for Bradford students

Yorkshire Water has joined forces with Bradford College to provide an opportunity for joinery students to gain experience working on grade II listed Esholt Hall.
The building is undergoing a major redevelopment as part of Yorkshire Water’s aim to create a flagship Centre of Excellence for learning and wellbeing.

Aarsleff Ground Engineering have upgraded and expanded their Newark plant premises which accommodates the company’s extensive fleet of rigs, fabrication shop, training facility, machinery, and equipment available to hire. Despite challenging and uncertainty during the pandemic, Aarsleff Ground Engineering has remained highly active resulting in the decision to upgrade their premises.
