Alliance seminar offers a walk on the wild side

The Structural Concrete Alliance invites construction professionals to join it for a walk on the wild side, announcing its final Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Regional Roadshow of 2019 will take place at Bristol Zoo on 19 November.

The historic Clifton Pavilion provides the back-drop for this latest free of charge half-day seminar, which will provide delegates with an introduction to Structural Asset Protection and Repair. The elegant light and airy room has a high vaulted ceiling, sparkling chandeliers and high arched windows, allowing delegates extensive views of the beautiful Nectar Garden, as well as the zoo’s flamingos and butterfly forest.

The seminar offers delegates an opportunity to learn more about the process of corrosion, essential steps for concrete repairs, sprayed concrete techniques and methods for protecting buildings and structures. It will feature focused advice and case studies related to infrastructure, including car park, historic building and marine projects.

In addition to the seminar programme, a number of Structural Concrete Alliance association members will be exhibiting at the event. This offers delegates an opportunity to discuss technical queries and upcoming projects with a selection of manufacturers, contractors and distribution companies.

The CPD seminar is suitable for all involved in the repair, refurbishment, protection and management of concrete infrastructure. It offers an excellent overview of all the latest techniques making it ideal for consultants, contractors, authorities, specifiers, surveyors and engineers with responsibility for awarding maintenance and refurbishment contracts.
