Latchways bring engineering excellence to Dach und Holz 2016

World leaders in fall protection solutions, Latchways, will be exhibiting at Dach und Holz, Stuttgart (February 2-5 2016) in Hall 5, booth 206. The specialist manufacturer and supplier will be showcasing its portfolio of fall protection products for roofing and construction, many of which hold a patent for industry changing engineering and innovation.

Latchways has built its reputation by applying advanced engineering skills to create truly innovative fall protection systems, and at the centre of the rooftop solutions is the Constant Force® post. Unlike traditional fall arrest systems, the Constant Force® post has an energy absorbing coil integral to its design. Using this mechanism, the load applied to the roof structure is limited and distributed evenly as opposed to being loaded onto the single point of attachment with potential subsequent damage to the roof panel. Constant Force® technology ensures the integrity of the roof is preserved even after deployment— a key differentiator between Latchways’ solutions and others on the market.

The Dach und Holz expo marks the European debut for Latchways in its new entity as part of the global MSA Safety group, illustrated by the extended range of PPE products on show at stand 206. Nigel Evens is Latchways’ Head of Sales for Europe and is looking forward to the show: “Germany is known worldwide for its engineering expertise so it’s exciting to bring our Latchways’ solutions, which all have engineering excellence at their heart, to Stuttgart. It’s also a perfect platform to introduce our new partnership with MSA which brings two great companies together that share the same zealous and unyielding commitment to safety.”

Latchways’ solutions are installed on many iconic buildings across Germany, including the Olympiastadion in Berlin and both Dusseldorf and Munich airports. With an already well-established registered Installer network, Nigel Evens is upbeat about the future: “We have a strong and thriving base in Germany which we will now be supplementing with our comprehensive portfolio of rooftop solutions. We are welcoming Wieland Beine, with his many years of experience in fall protection to lead the team from our new HQ in Berlin and all of us are looking forward to reinforcing Latchways’ reputation and firmly cementing our name into the safety landscape of a country where engineering excellence is part of its DNA.”

Visitors to Dach und Holz are invited to stop by the Latchways booth at anytime during the show, to have a chat and a coffee or two with the team about any aspect of the roofing and construction portfolio.
