One month left to enter the Structural Timber Awards

The countdown is on and with just one month to go, organisers have reported that they have been impressed with quality of the entries to the inaugural Structural Timber Awards.

Andrew Carpenter, Chair of the judging panel commented: "There is still time to enter but already the quality of the submissions demonstrates that these awards are what the industry has been waiting for. The timing could not be better - taking place during the first UK National Construction Week, when our industry pioneers will be congregating at the NEC."

Celebrating the best in timber construction, the Structural Timber Awards is a prestigious platform to showcase and celebrate iconic projects and industry innovators.

The closing date for submissions is the 30 May and there are 14 different categories to enter including - Best Social Housing Project, Best Private Housing Project, Best Education Project, Best Healthcare Project, Best Commercial Project, Best Retail Project, Low Energy Project, Engineer of the Year, Architect of the Year, Client of the Year, Contractor of the Year, Product Innovation Award, Pioneer Award and Project of the Year.

Presented at a high profile dinner, the awards are taking place on Tuesday 06 October 2015 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham. As a significant event in the timber calendar, the awards will attract 500 national business leaders and high profile decision makers from the construction industry - providing the most effective platform for targeting the timber industry and presenting the ideal opportunity for professionals to maximise industry exposure and penetrate this economically important market.
