The BEST way to operate and maintain your built asset

It is no secret that BIM can help create and maintain facilities that provide a host of benefits ranging from improved efficiency, lower carbon emissions and reduced cost. However, these perks are not possible without an integrated supply chain; reaching right from design phase through to operation.

To date, much of the training around BIM has centred on the design and construction phases. The BEST Programme understands there is an information gap when it comes to bridging BIM and facilities management. In light of this, BEST have designed a three day course, specifically designed at bridging the gap between BIM and facilities management;

“The BIM training offered by the BEST Programme seeks to support all who are involved within the construction process. Our introductory course “Unlocking the Potential of BIM in Wales” provides all involved in the construction process with a basic understand of the BIM process. “BIM for Facilities Management” looks to go beyond high level awareness raising and assist a field of the industry previously overlooked.” Said Dr Andy Ainsworth, BIM Advisor for the BEST Programme.

“BIM for Facilities Management” aims to make the use of BIM relevant and understandable to facilities managers, building/asset owners and other members of the construction supply chain involved in building management and maintenance.

This three day course will adopt a blended learning approach consisting of two taught days and a further day within an online learning environment. The course is CQFW Level 3 accredited and CPD certified. Enrolment is now open for the first series of courses:

Conwy: 13th April & 4th May

Swansea: 9th & 30th April
