As its success continues throughout 2015, the Built Environment Sustainability Training (BEST) Programme, working in collaboration with Project Five, will be delivering additional, accredited building information modelling (BIM) courses throughout Wales. The latest course to be announced by the programme is the delivery of CQFW Level 3 accredited course; “BIM for Facilities Management”.
The way in which the industry operates and maintains their buildings has never been more important; clients are increasingly demanding information in relation to cost savings around waste, efficiency and overall maintenance costs of their built assets. During the design and construction phase a lot of this information is captured. The way in which this information is captured can be greatly improved through the use of (BIM).
“BIM for Facilities Management” aims to make the use of BIM relevant and understandable to facilities managers, building/asset owners and other members of the construction supply chain involved in building management and maintenance. The course aims to bridge the gap between BIM and building operations.
This three day course will adopt a blended learning approach consisting of two taught days and a further day within an online learning environment. The course is CQFW Level 3 accredited and CPD certified. Enrolment is now open for the first series of courses:
Conwy: 13th April & 4th May
Swansea: 9th & 30th April
