Portable Sanitation Expo to donate £1 to charity for every visitor

For every industry visitor attending this year’s Portable Sanitation Expo, £1 has been pledged to Beating Bowel Cancer; a UK charity that supports and campaigns for everyone affected by bowel cancer.

The expo will be taking place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 25-26 February 2015, and is the only event 100% dedicated to the ever-expanding portable sanitation sector.

The event will showcase the latest technologies in the industry and will be an excellent forum for professionals to share their knowledge in relation to new products, waste management and disposal, the transportation of effluents and all related legislation. All interested parties are invited to register for this free event at www.pse.org.uk.

As excitement for next year’s event begins to grow, Martin Murdoch General Secretary of Portable Sanitation Europe Ltd shares his motivations behind the fundraising pledge:

“Our industry takes the welfare of people extremely seriously, and we are committed to sharing best practice advice and our expertise with others in the sector to help ensure customers are able to use quality and safe sanitation solutions. Hygiene and safety are paramount in our trade, and if we can help ensure people have access to good quality portable facilities by sharing our expertise, then we’ll have gone some way toward helping to keep people safe and healthy.

It seems only right that the aims and achievements of this brilliant charity are promoted at the biggest event in this industry. We want to help raise awareness of bowel cancer and the support that is out there, thanks to charities like Beating Bowel Cancer. It’s a pernicious disease we all could face at some point in our lives,” concludes Martin.

“We are thrilled that PSE have chosen to fundraise for us and thank them for their support,” says Roxanne Cullen, Community Fundraising Assistant from Beating Bowel Cancer. “Over a hundred people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every day, yet over 90% of cases can be treated successfully if caught early. So it’s vital that people become more aware of the symptoms so they can act quickly.

“The money raised by PSE will help fund our work supporting people affected by bowel cancer and raising awareness of the disease, its symptoms and the importance of early diagnosis.”

Major brands exhibiting at the Portable Sanitation Expo include Gigloo, SafeChem, Plastic Solutions, Satellite Industries, G K & N, Securi Cabin UK Ltd and Genquip Groundhog Ltd. The Modular Portable Buildings Association (MPBA) - the UK’s only not for profit trade association for the modular and portable building industry - will be supporting the expo, which is predominately aimed at the hire rental market including large festival and event organisers, the construction industry, military and government organisations and other end-users.
