Six sought for £220m London police framework
Up to six contractors are being sought for a London police framework deal which could be worth up to £220 million.
The three-year framework has been published by the mayor’s office for policing and crime and would see contractors appointed across two lots: general works and mechanical and electrical works.
Lot 1 for general works includes internal refurbishment and fit-out for offices; estate refurbishment and demolition and asbestos removal.
Lot 2 for M&E includes repair, replacements and upgrades for security work.
Contracts will range in value from £1,000 minimum works to £2m maximum and operators who can use the contract include Hertfordshire Police Authority, Transport for London and Thames Valley Police Force.
It is intended that between eight and twelve suppliers would be invited to tender stage and between four and six suppliers would be awarded the framework.
Specific requirements and information will be provided in the pre-qualification questionnaire memorandum of information and subsequently an invitation to tender which can be downloaded by accessing www.bluelight.gov.uk.
The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 26 November at 8am.
