‘Provide security, continue construction’
Hearing a petition on the Nagri issue, the Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday directed the Jharkhand Government to provide tight security at Nagri so that construction could be continued at the site.
The order said that the Government could even take help from the para military forces like CRPF and CISF for providing security at the site.
Filing an Interlocutory Petition (IA) the Registrar of National Law School, demanded the deployment of CRPF and CISF at the construction site as the security personnel at the construction site remain as mute spectators due to which the construction work is being delayed. Hence CRPF and CISF need to be deputed at the construction site for a smooth construction of the Law School.
The Division Bench of Chief Justice Prakash Tatia and Justice Jaya Roy asked the state to take help from the CRPF and CISF for maintaining peace at the site.
“The court clearly said that the construction work must be done as per the earlier order or the concerned officials will have to face contempt charges if they are found not doing their duties,” said the Advocate General Anil Kumar Sinha.
