Double first for Elliott with £5M London schools contracts
Elliott Off-Site Solutions continues its success in the education sector with the announcement that it has secured £5m of design and build contracts at two schools in the London area.
The specialist off-site company will construct two single-storey classroom blocks at Fairholme School in Hounslow and a three-storey design and technology block at Drayton Manor High School in Ealing.
Both projects involve Elliott acting as Principal Contractor on a design and build contract.
Elliott will construct the new buildings using a combination of off-site systems chosen by the schools and specifiers because it allows the incorporation of concrete floors. This was important from an acoustic and performance perspective considering the proposed usage and location of the new classroom blocks.
The company’s off-site systems also facilitate high ceilings, which is again an advantage to the school because it allows the creation of brighter, naturally-lit and more spacious teaching areas.
