CAI’s RAMS training course achieves CPD accreditation
Practical, one-day course helps delegates develop risk assessment skills while supporting their continuing professional development.
CAI, the trade association for audio visual, aerial and satellite professionals, has announced that its Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) training course is now CPD accredited.
The accreditation adds further value to the course, giving delegates the opportunity to develop practical workplace safety skills through training recognised for continuing professional development.
Designed for those involved in preparing risk assessments and method statements, joining a risk assessment team or working within a risk assessment process, the course requires no previous experience.
Delivered over one day, the classroom-based programme combines presentations, practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises to help delegates understand how to conduct and record risk assessments and method statements.
Key topics include:
- The five key steps of risk assessment.
- Identifying hazards, evaluating risks and selecting control measures.
- Legal responsibilities and the hierarchy of control.
- Reviewing risk assessments and maintaining records.
- Safe systems of work and method statements.
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) assessments.
- RAMS in the construction industry.
Practical risk assessment writing helps delegates put their learning into practice. By the end of the course, participants will be able to compile generic and site-specific risk assessments.
With CPD accreditation now in place, the course offers employers and individuals a further opportunity to invest in professional development while building the knowledge and confidence needed to support safer working practices.
The course is available to CAI members and non-members. For upcoming dates and booking information, visit the CAI Academy or call 01923 803030. Course takes place on 19th November 2026.
