Bam Nuttall lands £30m Acton diveunder

Bam Nuttall has won a significant Network Rail deal for an Acton diveunder which has been valued at between £20m and £30m, it has been reported.

The company beat off competition from three rivals for the project, which is being built at the Acton Freight Yard, Construction News reports.

It was awarded the contract over Carillion, Laing O'Rourke and Skanska.

The Acton west London diveunder is to be used by Crossrail services travelling to London, and should be finished in 2016.

VolkerRail and VolkerFitzpatrick also won a contract for works at Acton Freight Yard back in July.

This £15.5m deal formed part of the £2.3bn Crossrail programme.

In other news, Bam Nuttall are also performing mining remediation work on abandoned mines in Midlothian on behalf of Network Rail.

Work on the site began on October 1st and is expected to take a total of 26 weeks to complete.

Service and maintenance businesses could look into Sage Estimating, cost planning and post contract software, which is programmed to provide an end-to-end solution for maintenance and repair projects.
