Half year revenue at Mobile Mini UK hits £33m

Mobile Mini, a leading hirer of portable site accommodation and secure storage containers, has announced that its UK business grew its half year revenue by almost 14% to £33m, for the first six months of 2017.

Revenue has been bolstered by a further multi-million pound investment, leading to the addition of another 600 new units to its rental fleet. This investment includes the recent launch of the industry-leading, cost effective and energy efficient Groundhog Fusion mobile welfare units. Mobile Mini's growing fleet of rental units now stands at almost 40,000 across its 16 branches nationwide, from Glasgow to Southampton.

Mick’s Mates live in action

It was only a relatively short time ago, Mick George Ltd introduced Mick’s Mates, an installation service made up of accredited local tradesmen completing works across an array of disciplines, commonly associated with domestic or commercial premises.

In a housing market that is particularly buoyant, with an estimated £27 billion spent on housing related purchases annually, it is no surprise that the service has quickly established itself. And as a result, has now expanded to include almost every trade that is likely to cause disruption, or be required in the home or workplace.

Places were offered free of charge on a ‘first come, first served basis’ to scaffolders and advanced scaffolders who need to renew their CISRS cards before the end of this year, and around 70 operatives snapped up the places.

Oldham Sixth Form College arrayed with new carpet

Students and staff at Oldham Sixth Form College will reap the benefits of Array carpet tiles from Heckmondwike’s Creative Range in its Student Support Hub.

750m2 of Array carpet tiles in Purple were chosen, due to their aesthetics and durability.

Jeremy Broadhead, Commercial Manager at Heckmondwike, explains: “Array was a great choice by Oldham Sixth Form College. It’s a really hardwearing carpet that is suitable for heavy traffic areas and will retain its attractive appearance for many years to come.”

David Crossland, Facilities Manager at Oldham College, said: “We were looking for an affordable tile, with a ‘designer feel,’ that had good aesthetics but would also be very hardwearing.  We chose black as a robust, neutral shade and are really pleased with the result!”
