The 15th Annual ‘Sunday Times, Grant Thornton Top Track 250’ has been revealed and for the second consecutive year, local construction services supplier Mick George Group is included, having climbed more than 60 spaces in the rankings.
Compiled by Fast Track, a leading research and events company, the table ranks Britain’s privately-owned mid-market growth companies by performance.

20th September 2019: Extraspace Solutions, a leading modular construction company in the UK has today announced a rebrand to ESS Modular after a period of significant growth. Following a Management Buy Out in 2016, ESS Modular has more than doubled in size and now employs over 170 people across five sites and two manufacturing facilities in London, Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, and Cork.
Modular construction involves a precision manufacturing process where up to 85% of a building is manufactured and fitted out offsite. This allows for significant time savings on site, enhanced quality control and minimal disruption to local residents during the onsite construction phase.

The winners of the CONSTRUCT Awards 2019 were announced at the glittering awards ceremony in conjunction with CONSTRUCT’s flagship event, CONSTRUCT Day. The event took place on Friday 4 October 2019, with an excellent turnout of over 500 industry guests in attendance.
Following the exhibition and networking in the morning, the awards commenced and were hosted by the hilarious comedian, Hal Cruttenden. Five winners were recognised for their outstanding achievements in the sector, from innovative new products and systems, to the hardworking, committed workforce that support the construction industry. The categories included; Projects over £2.5m, Projects under £2.5m, Health & Safety, Unsung Hero and Young Achiever.
