Members gathered at this sell-out event to recognise and celebrate the sector’s achievements and hear all the latest news from the ASFP.

BGF backs Environmental Essentials for future growth

Adams Environmental, which specialises in the listed building and education sectors, servicing high-profile buildings such as the National History Museum and Imperial College London, is the company’s first acquisition.

Kirklees College’s construction department win City & Guilds Award

0n6703In October this year, staff at Brunel Construction Centre, Kirklees College, were presented with their City & Guilds Excellence in End-Point Assessment (EPA) plaque.

This was the first year their construction apprentices undertook their EPA at Kirklees College, which showcases their competence in their chosen career. Students demonstrated to independent assessors the knowledge, skills and behaviours they gained thanks in part to the outstanding training delivered by the college in Brickwork, Joinery, Plastering, Plumbing and Property Maintenance.

LCB celebrates “phenomenal” award-winning female students

0n6708Staff at Leeds College of Building are elated after an unprecedented flurry of student award successes - with female students leading the way.

Medallists at the SkillBuild UK National Finals 2022 were announced after nearly 80 construction trainees went head-to-head over three days. The finalists underwent a seven-month process of regional heats and intensive training before competing in the national finals at Edinburgh College from 15 – 17 November.
