Association for Project Safety seeks sponsorship for prestigious awards

Having announced the launch of its ninth annual National CDM and Student Designer Awards earlier in March, the Association for Project Safety (APS) is now calling for corporate sponsors to support the prestigious event.

Previously part the association's annual conference, this is the first time the National CDM and Student Designer awards will be a celebration in its own right, allowing for corporate sponsors to cut through the noise of other marketing messages and demonstrate their support for inspirational good practice within the Design and Construction Health and Safety Risk Management sector.

The risks faced by contractors in building contracts

As all contractors will know, building contracts are fraught with risks. The contractor is at risk that he has or has not priced the job properly. Risks in relation to ground conditions usually fall on the contractor.

Delays by circumstances which do not carry an entitlement to an extension of time at all are at the contractor’s risk. Other delays carry an entitlement to an extension of time but not to money in the form of additional preliminaries or loss and expense, such as weather related delays.
