ECIC launches roofing contractor scheme

The new product will feature no height limit, and interest-free instalments.
ECIC chief underwriting officer Richard Forrest Smith said that the cover was developed specifically for the roofing trade, with policy wordings factoring in the needs of the profession.
"This type of work requires contractors to have a real understanding of all the risks involved and ensure they have the right cover for the work they will be carrying out," he added.
"The ECIC cover can also be extended to accommodate working at a greater height than most schemes."
The product, which is available now, provides cover including employers' liability, public/products liability, financial loss, professional indemnity, contractors' all risks and all risks property, business interruption, money and goods in transit.
