‘Making a Difference’ in the local community

Worthing resident Mark Brook, last Friday received much needed maintenance to his home as part of Viridian Housing’s ‘Making a Difference’ volunteer project.

Running in various regions across the country, the project is all about Viridian employees and residents creating positive social impact to lives and homes in local communities.

Spartan Joinery, a construction firm based in Deeside near Chester, is celebrating today after receiving a call from Bibby Financial Services to inform them they have won a £2,000 cash prize as part of the specialist invoice financier’s construction finance competition.

£55million cash boost for repairs to homes in Camden

The Department for Communities and Local Government has announced that Camden will be allocated £55million, that we made a bid for, to bring homes up to a good repair standard. The money will improve the homes and lives of some of the Borough’s most vulnerable residents.

YOU’RE HIRED! BLOOR HOMES GIVES LOCAL LAD A CAREER IN CONSTRUCTION

Mitchell Thomson from South Luton in Bedfordshire had been studying bricklaying at Barnfield College for two years before he began his apprenticeship last September at Bloor Homes’ new development ‘The Edge’ in Dunstable.  The eighteen year old is now one of the first in the local area to benefit from the apprenticeship scheme being delivered through collaboration by Bloor Homes and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
