New Shadow Housing Minister Emma Reynolds viewed a flagship NHBC insured development in her constituency this morning (17th) that will eventually provide more than 350 new homes for the area.
Ms Reynolds MP, who was elected to represent Wolverhampton North East in 2010, attended the Persimmon Homes West Midlands Akron Gate development being built on the former Goodyear factory site to meet with developers, NHBC representatives and homeowners.

Savvy house buyers are creating their own “grand designs” by snapping up quality homes from a leading Hertfordshire developer and having them built to their own bespoke requirements.
Home seekers are queuing up to buy homes from Taylor French Developments, based in Tring.

Heat pump brings major savings for refurbished home

A homeowner in Northern Ireland has reported a 60 per cent saving on this energy bills after having a Danfoss heat pump fitted to replace an oil fired boiler.
Simon Bamford, who lives just outside Lisburn in Northern Ireland, approached Danfoss two years ago, as he was carrying out a major refurbishment of his dormer bungalow, including adding a one bedroom extension. This would mean the house had a lower carbon footprint and he hoped would make it more affordable to run.

Work is underway to build a £1.7million affordable homes scheme in Blaydon, thanks to a partnership between Yuill Homes and Isos Housing.
Leading North East housebuilder Yuill Homes will deliver 15 affordable homes at its successful High View housing development off Shibdon Bank. The scheme for Isos Housing will include six new two bedroom and nine three bedroom homes for rent which will be allocated to people in the greatest housing need.
