YUILL HOMES HELPS TO OPEN EVEN MORE DOORS AT

Yuill Homes’ contracting division, Yuill Construction, has joined forces with Derwentside Homes to develop more high quality homes at its Dales View development in Consett, County Durham.

Situated off Delves Lane, Dales View will see Yuill build seven new eco-friendly homes, which will be available for rent through Yuill’s partnership with Derwentside Homes and Durham County Council. The new homes at Dales View also received £347,000 of funding from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

Steve Jackson, head of partnership development for Yuill Homes, said: “We are committed to delivering and establishing successful communities through partnership working and are delighted to be working with Derwentside Homes on this fantastic new development.

“We are delighted that, through partnership working, we are able to provide houses which will help meet the need for new housing in the local area.”

The homes are available for rent and include two, two bedroom Hartford homes, four, three bedroom Addison homes and one, four bedroom Hudson home.

Yuill designed the homes to excellent environmental standards, with high levels of insulation and efficient heating methods which comply with guidelines set out in Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3. The homes also feature solar panels, providing an energy efficient method of providing hot water, while also helping to reduce residents’ energy bills.

Geraldine Wilcox, chief executive of Derwentside Homes, said: "We are very pleased to be working with Yuill to provide much needed high quality homes for rent."

Anne Mulroy, head of area for the Homes and Communities Agency, said: “This scheme will make a real difference for families in Consett. With solar panels on the roof and other energy efficiency measures in place, they will help to reduce carbon emissions and keep fuel bills down for residents.”
