New appointment as Bullock grows business development function

As Bullock continues to build its dedicated care services team they have appointed Nikki Waud as Care Business Development Manager.

Nikki Brings to the post 15 years of business development experience having worked on specialist fit-outs and refurbishment projects in the non-housing sector.

“Bullock is a company that has real vision and a strong reputation within the care industry. It’s not just seen as simply being a construction company,” said Nikki. “Clients see that Bullock really thinks about the long term welfare of the people who use the facilities they build, they work hard to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of residents through reviewing specification; assessing the details as to how the residents will live in their surroundings long after the construction has completed. For instance, we advise on post construction elements like the paint colours that best suits the client, cause minimal distress to users and reassure residents of their surroundings.’’

“Bullock work hard to continue forging long lasting relationships with both residents and clients after building work is finalised. Only recently we completed a state of the art Dementia Support Centre in Norris Green, Liverpool. Although the centre has been complete for a number of weeks now, we continue to build on the strong relationship forged with the centre working with the team to continually support the building with on-going fund raising and its community development programme.”

Joy McDonnell, Project Manager at Liverpool City Council, said: “We have been impressed with Bullock’s delivery of a construction project that reflects the need of people using the building, and also their commitment to the community impact as a whole, well after it has been completed.

Nikki continues to go that extra mile supporting our on-going work in the centre and across the community, long after site construction was completed.”

As part of her new role, Nikki is tasked with managing existing contracts and developing new business opportunities within the care sector. This includes managing relationships with existing clients, co-ordinating services whilst construction works are underway and nurturing new business opportunities for the company.

In her spare time Nikki is also a keen mountain biker, likes to travel and enjoys spending time with her family.

Bullock’s Head Office is based in the West Midlands and has regional offices across England and Wales. The company employs approximately 450 people and has over 55 years’ experience delivering refurbishment and new build projects across both the domestic and commercial property sectors.
