COMBISAFE creates a safe line of defence at new military museum

For the construction of a stunning new €90 million National Military Museum in Soesterberg Netherlands, the main contractor required an edge protection system that  offered reliability, flexibility and compatibility with flat roofs. COMBISAFE demonstrated they had the ability to meet the challenge, leading to the specification of the Counterweight System.

Commissioned by the Ministry of Defence and designed by Claus and Kaan Architects, the National Military Museum is being built by contractor HEIJMANS on the former airbase in Soesterberg. The 7,000-square -metre exhibition building will house an extensive collection of military aircraft, including collections from the recently closed Army Museum in Delft.

COMBISAFE FAST FRAME system strikes the right note

The COMBISAFE FAST FRAME System – a unique edge protection solution for steel frame structures - has been specified on the 220 million euro Paris Philharmonic Hall ensuring workers are protected during the erection of the steel frame.

In a design by renowned French architect Jean Nouvel, the prestigious Philharmonie de Paris is a major new state-of-the-art music complex in the Parc de la Villette, which centres on a 2,400-seat concert hall, the largest built in the city for nearly a hundred years.

NASC & CISRS set to exhibit at Health & Safety Bolton 8-9 October 2014

The NASC will be exhibiting at the forthcoming Health & Safety North event being held at Bolton Arena from October 8-9th 2014, on trade stand B16.

NASC will be actively promoting the work of the confederation to representatives of the construction and health and safety industries attending the event, which is set to attract over 3,000 visitors. In addition, they will be showcasing the innovative TG20:13 tube and fitting technical guidance at the show – with live demonstrations of the TG20:13 eGuide in both PC/laptop format, and in the new Android App version, which provides a mobile, digital good practice guide for tube and fitting scaffolding.
